Grocery CRUD 2023
As you may have already seen, I've done a quick retrospective of the year 2022 at the blog post Grocery CRUD v3. I am very happy that for one more year I was able to achieve my minimum goals. Tl;dr: I've released Grocery CRUD version 3.
So for one more year I want to keep the roadmap as minimal as possible.
The current version of Grocery CRUD Enterprise is still in the BETA phase, so this year I will be working to stabilize it in order to make it easier for everyone to install or upgrade. My main focus will be on creating simple installation guides to make the process as smooth as possible.
Your requests about new features is loud and clear. I understand your needs, and I am doing my best to make Grocery CRUD better. However - as pretty much everything in life - this is not that simple. I am not a big company with a lot of resources. I am a single person with a lot of ideas and a full time job. I am not saying that I am not doing my best, I am saying that I am doing my best with the resources I have.
So this year, I will do my best to add new features to Grocery CRUD. In fact this is the main reason that I've refactored the frontend codebase; to make it easier to add new features. On the other hand, I can't promise anything. My main focus will be to stabilize the new features that I've already added for version 3. More specifically:
- Master/Detailed Grid
- New upload functionality
- setRelationDynamic functionality
- Columns with dynamic width
That's it for this year. Nice and short. I hope you like it.
I wish you to have a great new year and I hope that you will be able to achieve your goals. Oh, and thank you for all the support as always 🤗. Nothing would be possible without you.
Disclaimer: The current list is a plan of what I have as a plan to deliver for 2023 as a mini-roadmap of 2023. The achievement of these goals has complicated factors and planning on 2023 is kind of odd anyway! Remember... we still have the pandemic going on and unfortunately same stands for the war in Ukraine 😟. So please treat the list of features and improvement as a to-do list rather than a contract!
